Okay, I usually love Nowalk (his Enlightened, Glee, and Dawson's Creek reviews were gold) but I reeeeally hope he cuts out the style he's using here soon. It feels gimmicky and forced, plus it's kind of difficult to read. Is he trying to review the show in the language of pulp crime novels or something? Because it

Hey male nudity apparently counts no matter what the quality is (at least according to heterosexual men). For reference, see the claims that Game of Thrones's nudity is spread out equally between men and women: the female nudity is almost always in sensual situations and attractively shot, whereas the male nudity is

The problem was they didn't revamp it NEARLY enough, they just lost a few minor cast members and Theresa Rebeck: the show is pretty much exactly the same as it was last year, but with fewer guest stars and memorable moments. They needed to dump McPhee completely and find some writers with some credibility, and

I greatly enjoy that Todd apparently liked this comment.

Or at least equalled it. Does this mean they can move up Hannibal to a closer date and put it in this slot instead? (Wishful thinking, I know)

Yes, and I HATED that Rubber Man review that everyone goes on about. He seemed like he didn't know what to make of season 1 and instead of rising to the challenge he just refused to engage with the show. I didn't think it was funny just…. odd and weirdly personal, what with bringing his wife into it. Ditto with that

ABC did do Smash better… it's called Nashville.

Just subscribe to it on your DVR for a couple weeks? Or buy the DVDs?

Seriously. I'm surprised the ratings aren't better simply because this is the only American show to deal with this territory in years, and there are a ton of theater geeks out there. The show may be highly inaccurate but at least it seems more respectful and knowledgeable about the theater world than Glee.

You've never actually watched this show have you?

Really? I tend to find it pretty embarrassing to read when Todd tries to be funny like this. It kind of comes off like that awkward friend who will never stop telling really long rambling jokes even though no one ever laughs at them.  He needs to back off O'Neal's territory.

Admittedly that's a communal thing and not one person writing a blog type post on random articles. It's also carved out in one place. Narrator is technically spamming, though at least it's interesting and informative spam. If he didn't post a bunch of other stuff on here he'd get a lot more flack.

Prepare to be even more annoyed when a bunch of people here try to defend it because Brad Anderson directed it.'

Okay Narrator, this is starting to go too far. I appreciate the enthusiasm but it's time to move on. Not that I wouldn't enjoy doing something similar with David Lynch admittedly.

How on earth is the wheelspinning, glorified soap that is Game of Thrones top tier? I think I'd rank it third tier, with guilty pleasure stuff like House of Cards and Revenge. Americans is second tier with Vampire Diaries and Homeland for me.

Judging from the contents of the series I think you can pretty easily put your money on "pretty darn rapey".

@avclub-0beb34df7e9615cd43b9090989ca4848:disqus For real, the cat wasn't that ugly, though maybe not quite as adorable as most of the cats you see in movies. I mean Duffy was a total asshole and a bargain basement version of Garfield but that's no reason to take it out on poor Squeaky, who was clearly just playing

When I first saw this comment I thought it was some weird in joke I wasn't getting. Now that I have seen it I realize that no, that scene really did happen.

You're so wrong, this movie was hilarious from the first shot to the last. I don't think I've laughed that hard for so long since the first time I saw Bringing Up Baby as a kid.

Indeed, Adverbs is far and away his masterpiece as far as I'm concerned (even including his children's work). A really wonderful (if a bit hit and miss) book that I was pretty obsessed with for a while. Is Rick any good? I haven't seen it but haven't heard many good things about it, and I don't know if what I like
