Just caught up on this the other day, and I am definitely looking forward to Gansa's season walkthrough, since he was so adept at picking out the flaws from last season. I loved the first five episodes, but the next 4 were a mixed bag, and the last three were by far the worst episodes the show has ever produced. The

It's pretty ridiculous that Veep placed so highly on a lot of lists while The Thick of It, which is basically a much better, more specific, and risky version of the same thing, was barely mentioned. I feel like this place should probably just cover American television, though I would miss the reviews of Doctor Who and

The show used to run a full season a year straight through, usually in the spring, with a special every Christmas. They started to toy with it in 2011 due to budget issues, showing half the season in the spring, and the other half in the fall, and now they're wrapping it around between two separate years, with half

For real. Veep ended it's season ages ago and isn't due back for a few months… is it really that hard to write this column? I figured Amelie just slaps whatever she saw on tv last week on here and takes five minutes of her time to write these "witty" put downs.

I'm surprised there's not much love for these episodes, I think they're the two best consecutive episodes of the season and much better than anything we've seen so far. The only episodes I've ever gone back and rewatched from this season are these two, Signs and Wonders, X-Cops, Sein Und Zeit/Closure, Theef, Hollywood

She did "die" in the S4 finale and then Cortexifan resurrected her or some crap…

I totally agree. Ah well, now we all have a cult movie to rally around. I would say Cloud Atlas ranks as one of the top ten movies I've seen in a theater and certainly the best of the year… which I was certainly not expecting from a Wachowski siblings movie starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry. It's very difficult to

Yeah it's actually gone on break a really annoying number of times this season. I really wish these shortened seasons would just run straight through instead of awkwardly spilling over into January… but ah well. Fox really has a knack for terrible scheduling though, it seems like their shows take weird weeks off and

It's been an absolutely horrible year for new shows though: we got Luck, which was obviously canceled unceremoniously, and Girls and Veep, both of which I enjoyed but didn't love, and that was about it. The fall offerings were absolutely dreadful: the only new show I'm still excited about at all is Nashville, and even

The Commies totally confused me… especially how highly TDKR and Prometheus ranked since everyone here seems to hate them. I guess the problem was that the commentariat here still doesn't see enough movies each year for stuff to rank highly that everyone isn't able to see.

Yeah I see very few truly bad movies in theaters (if I do it's usually because I like the director or something). Worst movies I saw this year were probably:
