Cromwell really revels in the delivery of these ridiculous lines in a way McDermott didn't though, he's nowhere near as wooden. It's basically the whole difference between the first two seasons: last year it was a horror show trying to be scary but ending up as crazy camp, and this year it knows it's ridiculous and

There's actually been way man ass more this season than the last one, but nothing as glorious as McDermott's ass last year. There was Evan Peters in the first two episodes, that random naked guy when Dr. Thredson was trying to turn Lana straight, and Quinto rape ass a couple episodes ago. It sort of feels like giving

I completely agree, it was my least favorite Breaking Bad episode since probably early season 2, mostly for the reasons you list. The pacing was a huge problem for me: the whole thing was so rushed that moments we'd been waiting for pretty much since the beginning felt muted and didn't have anywhere near the emotional

I'm expecting my dad to have that issue as well: I've dated a couple of girls and was actually attracted to them to some degree but not in the same way as I am to men. I used to have a lot of trouble figuring out if I was gay or bisexual, but I really think of sexuality as being less black and white than that these

Yeah, I think that's one of the first things that springs to mind for most parents when their children come out anyway, but having an older partner certainly adds to that. That's one way that it's nice that we've been together so long, all that stuff was discussed ages ago and I know he's completely clean. My partner

That's a really good point, I'd never quite thought about it like that. When reproduction isn't really a part of the equation, it makes sense that you would be attracted to a wider variety of people. I think a lot of straight people have issues understanding what the attraction is on my side, and that's probably a big

Thanks for the support, it's been really helpful. It's interesting how different people react to the age difference: most of my straight friends thought it was kind of weird at first, and I had to explain it more, whereas my gay friends and most LGBT people in general don't find it odd at all. It could definitely be

Much, much, older. About 35 years older than me. I know it sounds crazy but it doesn't really seem that way to me, I feel really connected to him and I'm a lot more open with him than I've ever been with anyone. I have a strong preference for older guys: not necessarily that much older but it just kind of happened and

I guess it is good that I'm not any older than I am. At my age I'm already feeling like I should have come out to my family years ago, though that's probably a product of society in general being a lot more progressive and open-minded in that area than it was even 10 years ago. Although it's unfortunate to have to

Just out of curiosity, how old are you? I'm 23 and really need to come out to my dad but it's kind of awkward for a few reasons: he's religious but not unaccepting of gay people, and he supports gay marriage… but I still think he'd have some issues with it.  I've also been with a man for the last two years so it's

Ew, the Buffy finale. That thing really left a bad taste in my mouth: thank God that the last season of Angel sent out the Buffyverse on a high note (I do not count the comics). I don't think there was a single moment of that thing I thought was good, I don't know why people seem to love it so much. Just everything

That seems like a really weird criticism of SFU to me: I feel like there's a lot of room for interpretation in that show, both in the dream sequences and the way certain scenes are framed, and in the way certain characters behave. I remember reading Teti's reviews that there was a lot of insight into how certain

I definitely showed it to some friends on Netflix Instant at least 2 years ago.

@avclub-d2c5a431570ea51c75c03a329a5a7725:disqus Vampire Diaries is so far superior to Arrow… they're not even close to the same league. If you enjoy Revenge, you definitely get started on VD ASAP.

I've watched four episodes of Arrow now and thought they were all pretty lousy, I always graded it at least a full letter grade lower than the reviews here. It follows that really annoying trend of shows lately where there's 35 minutes of boring filler stuff that pretty much maintains the status quo, and then a few

Agreed, that's always been my problem with the movie. It always seemed like a great kids movie bookended by hacky sci-fi crap. It would be way better if Stitch just showed up with no real explanation, sort of like ET.
