Agreed, that's always been my problem with the movie. It always seemed like a great kids movie bookended by hacky sci-fi crap. It would be way better if Stitch just showed up with no real explanation, sort of like ET.

I love how increasingly half assed his photoshop jobs are becoming.

Flushed Away isn't even a Disney movie! You've ruined the whole thread!

I'm with you there, Rabins tv reviews are incredibly half assed. I feel like the issue should be that the reviews are poorly written and thought through though, not that the grades aren't high enough. I don't think I've had any real problems with Sims' reviews for this show, other than that he seems to completely

Hopefully you're a troll? What's the point of reviewing a show if you like it constantly every week?

This really bugs the shit out of me here: either every show has to get all As and Bs, or it needs a new reviewer who "actually likes the show". Ridiculous. All shows are free game for criticism, and there's no problem with being tough on one if you think that it could be better. One of TV Club's biggest problems is

Can this be an actual thread? Maybe we can get them to do a feature where they discuss the history and cultural impact of a different breakfast cereal each week!

Yeah I'm watching Season 1 right now, and it is just really great television. Outstanding stuff: it's wildly implausible and has some annoying characters, but the gimmick works amazingly well, the pacing is perfect so far, and it really captures that bleary "why am I up at 4 in the morning" atmosphere so well. It's so

It was pretty darn good, but too much of a Social Network ripoff for me to include. Still, it got me very pumped for the upcoming season, and managed to intrigue without giving too much away. It was pretty thrilling to finally get the context of that last scene with Carrie visiting Brody in the hotel room when that

I hated War Horse with a seething passion: it is my very least favorite Spielberg film (yes, worse than Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Hook), so I was hesitant to see another Spielberg film so soon. He does have a tradition of following up terrible movies with some of his very best work though, so I shouldn't have

Yes, Where the Wild Things Are for sure. I was very skeptical of that movie, but after seeing that trailer I suddenly had to see it ASAP… and the end product did not disappoint.
