It just seems too obvious and cliche of a route for this show to go down. It does seem incredibly obvious and those shots were pretty pointed though. Still there were "obvious" cliche paths that people said the show would take last season that never panned out, like Saul being a mole.

Yeah he's a pretty solid actor. I think his problem is just that he's too famous and recognizable though: it just comes across as odd to see him in a quasi-realistic or non stylized movie. It always has to be some sort of gimmick casting.
