I'm sorry but that Shirley Bassey song is TERRIBLE. It was a miserable dirge that felt about five hours long. Another Way to Die could be better and doesn't quite sound Bondish enough in the chorus but has a good sound overall and was best theme in quite a while (though Skyfall is much better).

Didn't Del Toro turn down Harry Potter? I could see it happening.

I don't really think Whedon remade the Marvel franchise as his own thing though, more like he used his talents to add to the preexisting world and give the characters and dialogue some more snap. Not to say it wasn't a good movie: I really liked it. But it was a pretty conservative and predictable approach, it was

“Breaking Bad? We’re more like broke and sad” Wow that may be the worst joke I've heard. Is it actually a joke? It sounds like a five year old trying to ape Dr. Seuss. I can hear exactly how Kat Dennings delivered that line in my head as well, sadly.

Agreed that The Thing isn't that great. I haven't seen the original, but the fact that I didn't care about any of the one dimensional characters (hell I could barely even tell most of them apart) really hurt the movie for me. I didn't think it was very scary or intense either. Some great effects, and an interesting

It's basically a direct to video movie, I don't think they really expected it to make any money at the one screen it was on. Though they probably expected slightly more than that. Though one wonders how big the theater was and how many times it was screened…

I'm really looking forward to it, but I think Cloud Atlas might have ruined new movies for me in a way, at least for a little while. No matter what I end up seeing it'll be in the back of my head that I'd probably have had an even better time seeing Cloud Atlas again. I think I will definitely catch it a second time,

Whoa didn't realize that was her in "Sympathy". She was excellent in that, and great in Cloud Atlas: I really wonder if it could end up making her a star over here, despite how badly the movie bombed. This just gives me another reason I need to see The Host ASAP.

Lana talking about that scene in Reloaded was really interesting: it sounded crazy pretentious but that scene actually made me feel exactly that way on the first viewing. Of course I came out thinking that it was a totally stupid scene that really stopped the movie dead in it's tracks for an incredibly confusing and

Stallone was never much to look at though. And he's less freakish looking then he was in the 90's, so he could be much worse off than he is.

Yeah, at first I thought this was an announcement that Scrubs was coming back on the air for some reason. I suspect some shenanigans to increase page views were afoot.
