Nuttier then a squirrel's cheeks in October. I'm as pumped by this new feature as I am by "cinq minutes avant etre en direct", best five words in the French language.

“Nah Jeezy, those are closets.” <- i keep thinking about that.  a lot of skill went into that phrasing.  in the hands of a lesser comedian, that joke would've been, "you mean, closets?" and followed up by an explanation of closets or "don't you wonder why some of these rooms have bars?"

you know… it really wasn't my intention to discuss any orgy-pit-related
matters. no, I was just reading this "new new york times" piece on the
forensic evidence, the ballistics match, the eyewitnesses… you think the robot devil will chew you out for so spectacularly blundering the case?

*us* attorney's office.

you're wearing my shirt, hedonismbot.

This universe has a lot of petulant young leaders.

wait, do you mean a shirt as if from the set of logjammin, or the sleeveless shirt the cable fixer wears?  because if it's the first, i'm completely going to do that.  or, maybe a "jackie treehorn productions" one.

don't worry, natalie's pete will take care of him.  (pete has a little crush on natalie.)

careful now

When books are burned, in the end, people are burned.

for every hockey championship that's closed to you because you were born in the wrong month, there's a soccer championship that opens up because their season is opposite.  sure, the ability to become amazing at one particular thing depends on luck, but becoming amazing at all hinges on a metric ton of hard work.

the major point of "outliers" is that hard work and dedication is a huge part of becoming exceptional.  you need a bit of luck and talent, but that's far and away the most important part.

What's with all the sentences that begin, "now, …"? Is it some kind of code I don't get?

He stood four foot one in one sock.  he was agent coulson in "thor", he was agent miller in "spartan", he was agent casper in "west wing", but in my arms he will always the "quo vadimus" guy.

…or are able to construct a proper sentence.

yeah, yeah, we're all nerds. not a enough of us play chess, though.

@glazomaniac, you can describe an opening (or a game) as pretty for a number of reasons. evan's gambit is pretty because it builds up pressure without letting the opponent know, then turns on a dime.

i haven't seen the episode recently enough to say, but i'm iffy i think toby may not even have been playing white. also, it was the first move, how does one recognize evan's after one move? still, props to using "evan's gambit", one of the prettiest openings.

yes!
i've waited for this moment for quite a while. a chess thread. fuck yes.
