Christian metal is pretty awful generally, but I must admit that I still love As I Lay Dying's Frail Words Collapse. That album is heavy and the drums are beastly (but probably just programmed). I will always defend that album.

Stevie's version of little wing is pretty awesome. I think his blues were a lot better when he bottomed out and kicked coke and booze. Which unfortunately is only one album. The dude was a great guitarist, it's just a lot of his stuff isn't inspired and more of a platform for him to rip through blues scales.
