They mention very quickly that there may be a way around the death via sonic screwdriver. I very much expect to see both of them again later on, the real Doctor even says something about how this time the Ganger Doctor's death won't be seen by anyone (hint hint).
It's been a while since I've seen it any other way than the DVDs, but I recall it looking a lot better when it was originally on the air. The visual style does change a bit, and the first two seasons are a little too washed out from a palette perspective. I think you'll see a significant visual improvement on the DVDs…
Paul "Boom Boom" Falsone has always and will always be the worst of the new detectives to me. Gharty, Shepard, Stivers and Ballard are not great but each have their moments. Kellerman works out pretty well, and I wished they had used Russert more. But Falsone was just awful from one end to the other; I can't think of…
The movie does have its problems — particularly that it brings people back without giving them enough to do — but even if it falls short over all, the Bayliss / Pembleton scene makes it all worthwhile to me.
Agreed, but I think people expect spoilers for THIS episode not spoilers for things that come years later.
Crosetti
Sorry to be that guy, but spoiling Crosetti's character arc three seasons ahead of time is a little uncalled for isn't it?
People don't usually just fall off of ferry boats, so I think all the adults are aware of what must have happened.
Thank you, but I can't accept it. Please just donate your future crumbsnatcher to a charity in my name.
Yes, it's listed as a supported format on the technical specs for the iPod Classic, Shuffle, Nano and Touch. However, I think some older models couldn't play WAV.
Consoles have made PC gaming obsolete in two ways that developers really care about: effective anti-piracy and provided tools and services for things like basic online play. For a game like this, you can probably use Microsoft and Sony's stuff almost out of the box and not worry about buying some middleware,…
The bonus disc originally only came with the discbox release only, but you can buy it from Radiohead's online store as a download for 6:
I presume the reason for no FLAC is that it doesn't play directly in iTunes, meanwhile Apple Lossless is useless outside of iTunes. Not a problem for people who know how to convert it (I use XLD myself), but the jibbering horde of rhesus monkeys sending telegrams asking about it might get old fast.
George (along with nu-Biff) appears in the beginning of this episode, not voiced by Crispin Glover though.
Other Simon:
Maybe it's not a myth, Tim Kring may only use 5% of his brain when writing (at least once he gets rolling with the plot and his brain stem takes over).
It gets reviewed, it just isn't on the sidebar. Most recent one is http://www.avclub.com/artic…
Odds are good, since it's been announced he'll be in it.
Three of Cronenberg's movies immediately come to mind for killer third acts: The Fly, Dead Ringers and Videodrome. It helps that all of them have actors in the lead role giving great performances and the fate of their characters are all rather dramatic and horrific.
I read an interview with Lorena where she talked about finally quitting her waitressing job because this was IT — her big break.
