I don't think that public figures have an obligation to out themselves. Openly gay celebrities are great role models and it's always nice when someone chooses to be out, but I don't know that I agree with the argument that being famous automatically equals role model. It often missed the mark on the emotional stuff, which is too bad. Pixar has done so well with "boy" movies. I was really excited for them to focus on a female lead. I guess Boo kind of counts, but you know what I mean.
