For what it's worth, I don't think that in the real world all women want boys. I'm not going to lie and say I don't find boyish good looks attractive, but I certainly prefer a man to look like a man and not a boy. I also think that there are many qualities that I find attractive that have nothing to do with looks.

I liked it a lot, too. It has a lot of flaws but it's ambitious and I enjoyed watching it. For me, the stuff that works (the scenes you mentioned) made up for the problematic stuff.
