I've always loved his infamous roast set where he showed how fucking stupid modern roasts have become by intentionally bombing. That to me is an example of comedic genius. There is a difference between being edgy with a purpose and just saying the most crass and vile possible merely because you can, and the former is

One of the things that has always impressed me about Norm is his ability to not let silence shake him. As long as he knew it was a good joke, he didn't give a shit about how big the audience response was.

This was definitely the funnier of the two, but overall SNL has just completely lost the edge that used to define the show. I realize this opinion is not a popular one, but I think Weekend Update has been disappointing for over ten years. Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers are all very funny, likable people,

I just saw Angel Olsen play in Los Angeles, and she is such a fucking badass.

"I'm holding out hope that Goldblum will show up in this movie. If there is one thing the history of Jurassic Park has taught us it's that Goldlbum will not be contained. He breaks free, expands to new territories and crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but, well, there it is."
"You're saying

Does this mean he might be joining "Marry Me?"

Same with myself and the Beatles, though my parents only liked the early stuff, so when I discovered their post-"Help" discography in late junior high it was like getting to fall in love with them all over again!

I don't care what anyone says, I know Adnan is innocent. Can't wait to see how the last few episodes play out!

Am I the only person who thought Sorkin made Zuckerberg seem like a total badass visionary? This genius who fully understood how remarkable of a thing he had made. To me, Eduardo sort of seemed like the Pete Best of the situation. Probably a nice guy who didn't deserve to be treated the way he was, but overall it is

Potentially the biggest waste of cast talent I have ever seen. Everyone on that show is hilarious, and yet none of them really get to play to their strengths and the show is awful.

I'm sad "Return to Me" didn't get discussed more. That is high on my list of movies I love that most people have never heard of, and that is still the movie I immediately think of when I see her. But she seems like an awesome person, and this has become one of my favorite AV Club segments.

This may make me a bad person, but I'm secretly hoping "The Mindy Project" gets cancelled so that Adam Pally can become a regular on this show. I've also just never really gotten "The Mindy Project."

Go (bleep) yourself.

There's more to strumming patterns than up and down?!

But seriously Scott, how do you juggle family and work?

WELL! Aren't you an odd couple!

So true. Louie was great, and Zach's response to his rat joke was wonderful. Even seeing Louis do terrible stand up for 20 seconds really made me wish he would do an entire set like that. I feel like he could do bumbling idiot better than almost anyone.

Overall this was not even close to the funniest "Between Two Ferns", but I gotta say the Ross-Rachel line he gets in at the end almost redeemed the entire thing for me. Just terrible and wonderful.

Don't you worry, I'm sure next week we'll be right back to having to listen to someone babble on about hating a song because "it just fucking sucks, you know? I don't like that song because… yeah. So, um, yeah, fuck that song."

"Seaside" from the Kook's Inside In/Inside Out. I just remember instantly loving that song, and building up so many ideas about the band in my head so quickly. Then "See the World" came on and all those ideas quickly went away. Still really like that album, though.
