He's making pancakes in God's kitchen now.

To reiterate: Bowie's dead, Prince is dead, and Trump may become president. Fuck 2016

Fuck 2016.

Yeah, that made me chuckle too. Then I felt bad. Then I smiled when David Spade hit the wall. Then I felt worse.

Speaking of American Dad, I thought last week's episode, with Steve and Snot's ever changing time bodies, was the funniest episode in ages, and since there's no regular reviews anymore, I have no one to tell me if I'm dumb or not!

It may not be the "hippest" show but it was always funny and she was always great on it. RI.P.

I put Zodiac up with Social Network as prime Fincher.

I can't speak for Sweeney Todd much outside of myself, but I'm fairly certain Zodiac was (and is) very well regarded. I believe both got A's from this very site.

Yeah I hadn't watched it yet. Turns out 300 was 2006.

2007 was a pretty great year for film. Off the top of my head, it was the year we we got There Will Be Blood, Zodiac, No Country For Old Men, Sweeney Todd & Once. Also Juno, though I thought that was overrated (still, a lot of people I know adore it, so what do I know?)

Agree on puppet grandma and Amy Sedaris. Also loved it when David Cross was out of breath after what turned out be about 20 feet of walking. Also the "Weiner" jokes from his first episode. And Titus's hipster getup. Oh, and his pronunciation of "WeeFee". Likewise with "Steve Buskemeye." God, I love this show.

Watched this again a year later: yeah, this episode is amazing.

That IS a fascinating transition!

"underrated (but still often utilized) AVC method of just straight up being a dick about it."

And when I go to an art museum I keep saying "this isn't a Picasso."

Tina Fey didn't write on this one, though co-creator Robert Carlock directed it, so it could have been him who really wanted to hammer in that point. Fey is also in the writer's room though, so I won't pretend to know who did what.

It's a fascinating transition, that's for sure.

I liked her performance a lot before episode 7, and then that one totally sold me and I completely loved her after.

Also Amy Sedaris is off-the-wall hilarious in this episode, an any other time she shows up this season. Too bad she won't get even a nod for Guest Actress at the Emmy's, since she's not a household name slumming it in a sitcom.

"No face journey's" is almost as a funny a sign as "No Stairway To Heaven".
