I'm Not Living in the Real World from Write About Love is also a fantastic song.  My main complaint is that this primer basically says that the only members of the band other than Murdoch that are worth anything are the ones that left in the early-00's, when their last three (IMO) wonderful albums completely

It really bothers me how this primer seems to go out of its way to shit on Stevie Jackson.  JONATHAN DAVID and TO BE MYSELF COMPLETELY.  Nuff said.

It's anything but interesting.  These are jokes that would have been tired in the "Stuff White People Like" days of 2008.

I dislike the obvious and hackneyed approach the writer took to this newswire article.

Why is everyone so obsessed with whether these new Timberlake songs are 'club-ready' or 'club-friendly'?  As someone who enjoys his music quite a lot, but definitely does not venture out to clubs, this is pretty low down on the list of things I hope for in a new JT song.

Small gripe not related to 'Fade': Every review I've read seems to make a point to denigrate the second half of Popular Songs.  Have you LISTENED to 'More Stars Than There Are in Heaven' recently?!  All-time classic Tengo song.

Definitely too harsh.  I've listened to it a few times now and it's a wonderful collection of songs.  It's very much comfort food music for me, but we all need that in our lives.

Guess I'm the only one who likes John Denver…

Not only does Country Life have one of the greatest album openers, it also has one of the greatest album closers with Prairie Rose.  Jesus Christ, I love that song.

Actually, there are some really good versions on this release (the Tame Impala cover is so good).  I guess the great thing about the digital age is that I can just pick up the songs I want and skip the shit.

I like how you ignored Eric Idle in your summary of the post-Python careers, especially considering he's probably cashed in on that Python legacy more than any other member in the past 3 decades.

I miss when Williamsburg was just a Virginia tourist trap.

I'm not sure you can call a band that's been at it for nearly 20 years "overhyped".  Either way, Deerhoof is awesome!
