I remember seeing challenges in the original that consisted of who would stick the thickest needle through the skin in their arm, and being covered by bees.  I figured they were some non-stinging variety of bees that one could still be afraid of, but no, the contestant calmly stated "Oh. I can feel them stinging me

Not done yet, but this scene between Dexter and Deb with the chopsticks is even worse than anything I could have ever imagined oh thank god it was only a dream.

Love this movie, and I have no idea how I discovered it.  I'm pretty sure I watched it On Demand, but how would I have known to do that?  I watched it again (hmm, On Demand then too) just a couple months ago, and I still love it.

That makes more sense but has less random, earned sentiment.

Speaking of Becky, it was one of Glee's random flashes of worthiness when Sue cited the "soft morning Becky Johnson waddled into my life" as the best recent thing to happen to her.

It was good enough that I remember my 12-year-old brain realizing it was different from Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie in that it was based around tunnels and chambers instead of small, flat-ish worlds (Mario) or a tall, central structure (BK).

Thoroughly, thoroughly agree.

Backing up the idea that the whole school knew, Finn's insult wasn't even meant to be about her sexuality, just her insecurity about Brittany's feelings.  I can imagine the girl who told her dad revealing it just as something that happened at school, not as something for him to use in an ad.

My Syrian friend gave me a primer on his country a couple years ago, and if I remember right he didn't have a concise explanation for why Assad 2.0 turned heel either. He did say that before the succession there were barely even any cars in the country—and he's from a wealthy family.

The whole never-met thing has me desperately hoping she's evil.  I don't think anyone else referred to her as the dead guy's sister, the way she "guessed" wrong on who Auggie was seemed fake, and the last thing this show needs is for Auggie to have a random, completely disconnected girlfriend, even if she used to be

Huh? "A game but initially cautious blind date?" She's the younger sister of one of his dead war buddies.  This was all they talked about.  Also, while I'm nitpicking, Joan is paranoid about Arthur with other women because she started out as an office affair during his first marriage.

Can't be as crazy as the book.  I don't remember exactly, but I think one of the main characters got transplanted into a body made of a precious stone, then was flitting about space for millions of years as people built a Dyson sphere around the sun and lived on it.

I watched it all together too, and I actually found it enjoyable from the first minute.

Neither Stefan nor Damon can really be said to be "struggling" with their "worst vampire tendencies."  The two times I can remember Stefan falling off the wagon have been because he wasn't strong enough on non-human blood to protect Elena, but he wasn't used to it, and now when he's just trying to hold up his end of

Wow, fine, so ERA correlates with pitcher skill.  Amazing.  So, to some extent, does innings pitched.  FIP correlates better.  And that's just the beginning.

You can have Ms. Morris's dancing; I'll take Ms. Agron's pink hair, cigarette, and "fuck off" gaze. Yowza.

I'm actually really enjoying the part of the show where Bridget improves the lives of everyone Siobhan knew just by not being horrible. And there was more of that here, so I call it an improvement.

She's fantastic.  I don't understand how someone could like this show and not like her.

Haven't finished yet, but want to say: of the many things this show did poorly, perhaps the one that killed my enjoyment the most was it's complete disinterest in actually defining the miracle.  No one can die, but they can lose brain function forever, and then if you burn them they no longer exist.  So, that's

We popped by one a few weeks ago and left empty handed.  The discounts were paltry (10-20% on most) and the line was wrapped around the store.  The prices were STILL better online, even when they were liquidating!
