I've always hated the title.  It tells parents "this is what's really going on with your teenagers" and then depicts scandalous, non-human behavior.

The charge was "failing to come up with anything better than 'panties on the face.'"

Everything it says about the characters was said in the previous episodes.  It just reiterated it.  When she says it didn't advance the "plot," I think she's including character development.

I don't know what world I live in when USA is letting Peter Gallagher say "shit." But it's better than the one I thought I was in.

I swear that back when Cupid got remade and Endless Mike showed up in it, I commented "Endless Mike!" and pretty much no one responded.

Doctor
I don't trust the doctor at all. Though I could see him being another CIA operative testing her, and then he'd be another missions character for next season. Or just evil.

"Religous schools"
Lest it be seized upon by some nutjob, please change your mention from "religious schools" to "organized religion as a mandatory part of public schools." Religious schools, as we all know, are already legal.

He was shot in the chest with a stun thing.

I think it was him drunkenly trying to elevate his and Gwen's friendship/teamwork to the point that it was OK everyone else he cares about died at his hand or under his leadership. Then she hung up and he was forced back into reality. I do think it was unsubtly done.

Charley, I bet it's worse than that. I bet it's written by people who place more value in their own angsty twenty-something autobiographical navelgazing than in either the laws of thermodynamics OR Shakespeare.

Last week's episode had snow in it. For all we know, these episodes are set when it's summer in the southern hemisphere. (Pardon me if I missed your point.)

Request
I'd like to request the ability to "follow" the first review of every show. So when someone writes about a show for the first time, I get that in the My TV Club thing. Looks awesome though.

Actual comment about this episode!
I don't trust that doctor at all. His "doctor goes to hotspots around the globe" bit is a great cover for a spy or assassin, he looks shifty, and I have no expectation of this show NOT to take such a predictable turn.

Medicine
I literally take not one but two pills every day because of songs stuck in my head.

I'm going to go ahead and try to separate myself from this Blair Witch person. My original comment clearly said this show is the ONE of its type to be sorta funny. I do not think a lot of sitcoms "get" me. I will not be married for another 3 weeks. Joanna Garcia had a show, called Privileged, and now has another

Exception
Television is an exception. With how shoddy the medium was until recently (with a few, noted, glorious exceptions), it's actually possible to watch just about all the TV with any critical backing. I've got Six Feet Under, Life, Rome, all but the first season of St. Elsewhere, and a couple other things I

It's a really well-built version of the show it is. You've got an older couple who knows how to run a sitcom, a middle couple with frequently very fun comic chemistry and concrete characters, and a younger couple with another sitcom vet and a guy who can (almost) handle the absurd comedy they give him.

I've been heard!
Yes! I kept saying this was the one that was actually kinda funny!

Reading them for the first time as an adult, I really liked Earthsea, Riddle-Master, and especially Cook, but I LOVED Covenant. I practically hyperventilated through The Illearth War.

As dedicated followers of my AV Club comments surely know, I've been trying to work my way through the fantasy genre's non-shit work in a roughly chronological order. I read Magician about 6 months ago, and I have to say it's sort of enjoyable for its mediocrity. It kinda feels like Feist wasn't wholly paying
