Yeah, it sucks when shows that we describe as "not that horrible" only get 40-60 episodes to say what they want to say. I heard 4x07 of The Unusuals, in November of 2011, is shaping up to be a game-changer!

Maybe I said it wrong. The answer to your question is every single show on television. That's why I tried to separate what I'm saying from the quality of acting, of which In Treatment is in a very elite group (I can't claim enough insight to distinguish if the acting on In Treatment is better or worse than, say,…
I don't usually have subjects
Well, I'm not watching a single show with cops in it right now, and it sounds like this meets my "serialized" and "not terrible" requirements. Count me in!
Acting
While I won't argue that this show is marvelously acted, I find that I much more enjoy the more, as you put it, "naturalistic" performances than the stiff characters. They remind me of watching plays, in a bad way. I like my good actors to spend their time acting like real people, (or hyper-clever versions of…
Sigh. Sorry, I meant: Murray is correct about their length, and to you, the OP, I would like to add that for half-hour shows, they seem a touch shorter than usual.
There doesn't happen to be much tv I watch right now that's in the half-an-hour format (Office, 30 Rock), but these episodes seem just a touch shorter than that if you're not counting the end credits.
23, still some minor acne, can't grow a beard, but below the neck, it's all old man: arthritic hip! one leg shorter than the other! I'm going to need a new hip in my 40s! Oh, and I have 5 kidney stones in my right kidney! And one big one in the left!
Hey, look at that! My double post turned useful when I wanted to respond to the original responses to my original comment before the thread went somewhere else.
What? Here's what I think you mean:
Meh?
Not loving the plot developments. Chuck's dad/Orion is a closed loop now; there's nothing compelling left about either of them. I also found the character slightly annoying. And why are they doing the bachelor party storyline with Awesome and Ellie if they're not going to actually do it? Chuck is a very good…

Also? All there are some terrible actors on that show (I'm looking at you, Book and Inara). The show markedly improves towards the end because we stop running around with people who fail to deliver dialogue better than a high schooler could and we start hanging out with Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, and Adam Baldwin.
I don't think we need to be too worried about it getting cancelled. I'm sure they'll blow it up in the finale (or penultimate episode), and it'll be back on Friday nights at some point next season. It's Friday, people, the ratings are expected to be minuscule.
Wookie, your examples have merit, but that wasn't the nature of the complaint here. The complainer was mad at a few, thrown-out details about the imprinting/wiping process that had nothing to do with any problems or solutions on the show. The ability to wipe/imprint people is very much our "transportation" on this…
768th! Have fun not reading this!
I'd love to blank my memory of ER. At the beginning, it's so good, but when I went back to rewatch some of it a year ago, I realized I was just signing up for a hundred hours of watching Anthony Edwards get kicked in the face. I like Anthony Edwards, and I really don't want to watch…
No, he's right, there are a whole bunch of things wrong with that picture.
Thumb Fun? You've just accepted that as a legitimate name for something this whole time?
Apparently not, but here's what you do: watch this show happily until it get cancelled, be it in 5 episodes or 5 years, and then, when you're ready, hop over to Youtube and watch the original. Then, uh, somehow let me know what you thought.
Claire Allen became the blueprint for women I would be attracted to for the next 10 years
Sigh. There's no subtlety left. It's a top-to-bottom problem: neither of the leads is bringing it, but the writing and directing are selling them out too.
Oh please don't watch Angel without Buffy. Angel is great, but why would you skip Buffy?
