I think AntiChrist Superstar is still pretty good.  If I had to pick one Manson song, I'd choose Posthuman.  But I like pretty much ACS and Mechanical Animals as wholes.  His earlier stuff is also appreciated, but I'm not sure if that's just because of nostalgia.

I'm pretty pleased by it as well.  Saw Julia on the Daily Show, thought, "She's hot and I think she's pretty funny so I'll give the show a shot and when it gets cancelled in 2 weeks I can say I saw it."  I didn't expect it to be as funny as it is, and while I JLD is totally hilarious, lots of credit to people around…

You stated my point exactly in your post but glossed over it.  The Simpons have never treated their actual idols (the Beatles) with such reverence, at least not by dedicating the entire episode to them personally and making them look like saintly creatures.  I'm confused why, even later-day Simpsons, would do that.
