First WWE episode after the playoff season ends and what does SDL do? They start with an eight man tag match and end with a six man tag match. I realize that they are probably waiting until next week, post-MITB, to really kick off, but still.

I actually hated the finish for Okada/Omega with a passion as why would they do that while making it clear that Okada could have pinned Omega if he had a minute more time.

I was much cooler towards Okada/Omega 2. It just felt really disjointed, especially with the first 30 minutes being pretty much filler. And even after that, while the action picked up, it still felt somewhat weird as it all was just muddled for me.

While I thought the final reveal didn't work out as well as intended, I will admit that I had a blast with the Miz/Bear tag match. Just the level of committment, Miz instantly showing distrust to the bear, 'We want the bear' chants and the signs of Maryse's displeasure with the Miz all just made me smile. The

I groaned so hard when they did the double count-out finish for the tag title match. It didn't help how much Sheamus and Cesaro had to work to make the Hardys, especially Matt, look like a dynamo in the ring.

I really loved what they did with the tag teams as they basically had the New Day react to the established tag team world of SDL instead of being the ones to define it. Hence them being confused visitors to the Fashion Files world and being slammed by the Usos without making their own dismissive comments back.

I honestly believe that one of the key reasons the crowd reacted so well for Lana was that at least she stood out in presentation for that segment. After last weeks chaotic brawl where tables were destroyed and great spots were done, now they just trotted all women out once again to stand in the ring together and then

I do like that Sami has finally smartened up and keeps his back to the wall while talking about anything tangentially related to Baron Corbin. However, turns out that Corbin is cunning enough to walk to Sami from the front, knowing that Zayn would never suspect that Corbin would attack him from there.

Something I'm really liking is the mysteries Raw is playing with at the moment. In addition to the Enzo/Cass and Angle mysteries, I felt the finish of the main event actually set up a decent hook for next week. While Bray has interfered in matches before, he usually appears after that screen hits, but this time he was

My added enjoyment in that interaction was the implication that the reason Kurt was making Bliss defend her title against Nia was due to how bad that 'This is your life' segment was.

Some thoughts on Extreme Rules:
-Kalisto/Crews was just awesome fun. 'Do some flippy stuff!' 'I just did some flippy stuff.'
-Ambrose/Miz was a pretty great match that told a good story and the Miz/Maryse just stole the show on Raw Talk. 'Sometimes I just like to get slapped.'
-I digged the finish to the tag team match

I loved the Miz celebration segment so much and was basically dying the moment he started to chair and then elbow that present as he just did it with such conviction and gusto. Even the prelude of it with Kurt stating that he didn't want to deal with Maryse was brilliant.

I think almost all the performers who have been vocal about their political leanings are Republicans. I do wonder if it is partially the company atmosphere where it is easier for Republican performers to speak out about those things. And this isn't in anyway to hint that VKM would be suppressing the performers, but

As a sidenote, and I admit this comes from my biases, I really enjoyed the brawl and the big spots they managed to insert in to it even despite the referee's decision to just not start the match made no sense. We've seen them ring the bell at the starting brawl multiple times before. However, the biggest thing to me

I wonder if at any point Naomi's thought process backstage was 'Hey cool, a women's ladd- Wait, didn't they once strip me of the title because I couldn't defend it for 30 days?'

The finish for the Styles/Ziggler match was weird. Not because Ziggler won, especially since they desperately need to give him some credibility, but just the finish itself felt like it wasn't meant to happen that way. The execution, the location, everything after, even the referee looking confused at the end made it

As bad as that first time was, at least there it focused on presenting Bayley as a fan and had that really good moment of improvisation that managed to get some heat on the segment.

It goes without saying that I'm all in on the Titus Brand to the point that I've already started researching how to invest all my life savings to it. Another gift from the Brand was this Post-Raw press conference:

I don't know what I found more hilarious with the Bliss/Bayley segment: How long Bayley was willing to watch Bliss mocking her, that her ex-boyfriend making out with her former BFF was the breaking point or how Bayley's fire was expressed with her determined walk to the ring before pausing to assess things. I realize

Those two main matches really made me excited for the Fatal Fiveway match at Extreme Rules as they really showcased the talent. I'd even argue that was Samoa Joe's best showing on the main roster so far. Only complaint I have is the way Reigns won as I don't think Reigns Overcomes everything to hit a single spear
