My favorite part about that reveal was that apparently Matt kept it a secret because he didn't want to reveal he was there with Elektra. Despite the fact that the others already knew about his relationship with Elektra and, as a minor quibble, HE COULD HAVE JUST TOLD THEM ABOUT THE DAMN HOLE WITHOUT MENTIONING ELEKTRA.

By the way, this episode truly cemented Stick as a tactical genius as he seemed to be the second person to realize and, even more importantly, the first person to act on the fact that Luke still breathes and can be attacked that way. I don't know what the Defenders will do without that brilliance.

While it was sad to see the two best character in the series, for me at least, die in Alexandra and Stick, both of them really got to showcase their acting capability and character work in this episode. It was already narratively fitting, even if I'm slightly concerned on the follow-up, that Elektra killed both her

Well, to be fair, Shades was a lot better in almost every aspect of the task than both Cottonmouth and Diamondback, even if Cottonmouth was an excellent character otherwise.

It wasn't even just that, as shocking as it is. Danny decided to try to hit Jessica with the Iron Fist despite we all having seen what it does. That wasn't just Danny trying to fight Jessica, that was him trying to kill Jessica if Luke hadn't intervened.

And this episode's Danny Rand award goes to Daniel Rand for the following:

On that notion, I keep cracking up how we constantly see Colleen carrying that damn sword in her hand everywhere, no matter at what time of the day it is, what she is doing or how many people are around. She doesn't even strap it to her back or anything like that, she just holds the scabbard like it's a stick or

My favorite part of collecting the love ones was when Luke asked where Claire's mother was and then seemed to conclude that she would be safe in New Jersey. Because this supposedly international criminal cabal could never strike at someone in the Garden state.

I find it at the moment almost impossible to take the Hand as a credible threat as they just keep losing every encounter with the heroes, who in turn are constantly worried about them for some unknown reasons. Last episode we were introduced to Murakami as this enigmatic threat, then this episode starts with him

Couple of clarifications/questions on the review. Isn't the implication that the home the leaders are referring to is K'un-Lun as didn't Stick explain how they had been exiled from there before? Also, I thought the statement on the blinded disciplines referred to Daredevil season one where we saw that the people

While the Colleen/Bakuto confrontation was certainly intended as a dramatic moment, my Danny Rand award for this episode goes to Colleen Wing who is absolutely shocked to learn that the leader of a group that she knows can bring people back from the dead has, in a surprising twist, been brought back from the dead

This episode actually made me realize that the most dangerous person to the Hand organization is Ward Meachum. They funneled so much money and resources through Rand Corp with Ward handling all the paperwork, which means that, outside of the Hand itself, he probably knows most about their resource and financial

While the fight scene at the end was really well done, I was confused when Jessica told them that they had to flee Elektra because she was bad news as when the two had met before, Elektra had ran away from Jessica who had given chase, so I didn't understand why Jessica would now think the four of them couldn't fight

That scene actually made me wonder if they had originally scripted Ward to be in this episode, but last minute logistics prevented Pelphrey from being availble for the shooting, as nothing in that Rand Corp scene made sense.

Danny Rand being an over-priviliged idiot is pretty much his defining trait in the show, although I'm not certain it was intentional there.

I was laughing so hard at Danny's speech at the Midland Board that I actually had to pause the episode for a moment, although fortunately that seemed to be the writers intention considering how Alexandra was completely no-selling his attempt. What made it so hilarious even beyond the actual speech was that I could not

Fair point, especially after re-reading the comments. My reply was more from a general reaction to these kinds of comments, but it wasn't necessarily a reasonable approach here.

…Or then people just thought it was horrible even with Ward's actor doing everything he can to try to salvage things? I legitimately don't understand the mentality that we can have differing opinions on Iron Fist or giving bad reviews is just being an unreasonable hater.

Except all of this requires Danny to forget that K'un-Lun disappears from this dimension for years at a time. I realize that Danny thinks the Hand is out there to kill Kun-Lun, but they have literally given Danny any reason to think that instead of just assuming that the city disappeared like it usually does. Because

What about Karen's situation would be questionable? She's been on the job for couple of months and she's already busting big news stories with those sharp instincts of her. She was obviously born to be a reporter as evidenced by the fact that her editor pretty much lets her do what she wants. I just wonder if she has
