I realized last night why I liked Dean's matches despite some current online negativity against them, and I would argue that the Corbin/Ambrose match was pretty good even with that. He does re-use a lot of spots in his base matches, that can't be denied, but I think they are constantly changing how the opponent

The commentary during the mixed tag on Raw was almost amusingly awkward. They had Charlotte there, but only addressed her when Dana and Bayley were in the ring, and then talked either about Bayley or Sasha. While the men were in the ring, they completely switched the focus on their feud. It created this really weird

That match was so good and I also felt it set up so many great storylines going forward. Even the fact that we don't actually know Hunter's and Seth's current alignments is awesome as now it leaves even more intrigue leading to their confrontation next week.

As for that Nattie/Bliss thing pointed out in the article, those are the moments when live TV is merciless. I thought that Nattie did look pretty bad there, but it was also completely unintentional from the production point of view as they just wanted to show how clever Bliss was without realizing what was about to

They've also kind of made it a running joke in a lot of posts about Kalisto in a good hearted way.

I really continue to struggle with Nikki Bella and her current role. I completely understand the choice of her as a top woman on Smackdown, think she has improved immensily in the ring and am interested to see what she contributes.

That Miz promo to start Smackdown was pure awesomenes and I loved all the details they had going in it like the Miz storming in the ring before his music even played or the way Maryse was the one who had to hold up the Miz from going after Ziggler at the end. And I absolutely loved that the Miz used the promo last

Yeah, Nikki as a heel was really awkward not only because creative kept having her just shift from heel to face to heel without any explanation, but also because I kept thinking is this someone committed to being a heel?

To me, there is already a really intriguing dynamic there. We are used to seeing the heel authority figure being dismissive of the face wrestler, yet here we have those alignments reveresed. Daniel Bryan, beloved by the people, does not wish to show the Miz, the heel champion, the respect he has earned. There is a lot

But I would argue the Miz is a really good wrestler. Just this year he's had great matches with Jericho, Styles and Ambrose.

There is also a show called Talking Smack there that goes on after every Smackdown. It's half an hour of excellence and really adds to the experince. Just as a tip.

Smackdowns get on the Network a few weeks after first shown the USA network. However, I would really recommend and watching the first available episodes on the Network as they are doing a lot of crucial groundwork there just like Lucha did with their own first episodes. Especially since we are only a month in so there

And as a last thought, Otunga is probably the worst wrestling commentator I've heard in ages. Not only does he add nothing, his commentary is utterly generic it actively takes away from the product especially as both Mauro and JBL are starting to find a really good groove. For example compare how differently JBL and

Yep and at the moment Smackdown is pretty much better received and only two hours. They are completely independent aside from the big PPVs.

Couple of random thoughts from Smackdown:

Two things reminded me of why I love Ambrose so much. The "Yeah, that makes more sense" moment and how he dissected AJ Styles and Ziggler psychologically while commenting on their match. They've created a really layered character in Ambrose who in turn seems to be doing his best to build up the other major talent on

What backstage stuff? Almost every performer I've heard talk about the Miz praises him and calls him underrated?

Good stuff happened on Talking Smack before the Miz/Bryan confrontation, but as I write I can't make any of them really matter as that confrontation and Miz's promo/vent is so unexpected yet is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in wrestling this year. If somebody hasn't watched it yet, they need to go and

You know, it hurts me deeply that someone as accomplished as Vacant has never truly been acknowledged as one of the greatest ever.

Slammed is so good, it is one of my all-time favorite Choice of games ever.
