"If I could just…reach…my utility cummerbund!"

Also, apparently a young man reached out for a foul ball during the 2003 NLCS and became quite unpopular for it. As a slime mold on the bottom of a rock in the Galapagos Islands, this little-known story is compelling to me.

Jeff Dunham
Why did America decide that now was the time for Jeff Dunham? I remember Joel on MST3K making fun of his dumbass shtick in like 1993.

I want to find a way to travel to parallel universes…
…only to find a world where Adam West was Captain Kirk and William Shatner was Batman.

@InspectaDeck - If you meet punk rock on the road, kill it.

I hope this is a trend
That way I can ride the crest of the zeitgeist and make tons of dough on my upcoming documentary, "Oh Hi, Cinema!: The Cult of Tommy Wiseau." Then I'll cash in even harder with "It's an Awkward Situation: Fans of 'The Room' Interact After the Lights Come Up."

If comic books were a band, WE3 should be their demo tape. It's an excellent example of the storytelling potential of comics while also being an excellent story in its own right.

I'd suggest that HipsterDBag track down Moore's original scripts for Watchmen; they're loaded with piles and piles of words describing in intimate detail the graffiti on the walls, where furniture in the room is placed, exactly how a bead of sweat should roll down a character's face, etc. If you're going to follow the

Watchmen was bad because there weren't enough words in it. That's certainly a new interpretation.

Kyle Baker's "Plastic Man" is another excellent choice for a comedy book. It's one of the only books I've ever read where the art alone made me laugh out loud.

1963 was never finished, so it's unlikely it will ever be collected.

Superman could totally beat Swamp Thing in a fight.

This summer…
Tracy Morgan

Get me a remake of "The Towering Inferno" with Richard Karn and then we'll talk.

I tried watching the first season of that show and I literally can't remember a single plot of a single episode. I'm tempted to Netflix the second season because I'm told there's a lot of Aquaman-related content. Can anyone tell me how much Aquaman I could expect?

A couple answers

Stan Lee doesn't draw, for one thing.

Actually, I think "changed" is the key word, since comics were generally still in their infancy when McCay was working. It's probably why guys like Alex Raymond and Milton Caniff aren't on the list, either - they didn't change mainstream comics so much as they invented them.

Forgot to mention: For a guy often accused of wanting everything back "the way it was" and simply reverting comics back to their Silver Age status quo, Geoff Johns sure does add a lot of original material to the comics he writes (i.e., "Green Lantern's" emotional spectrum, the JSA's constantly evolving roster, New

I agree with dougery, even if you don't like Bendis or Johns there's no comparison between, say, "Green Lantern" and "Wetworks." "Green Lantern" under Johns at least features an attempt at storytelling, even if you don't like the story. The majority of superhero comics during the "superstar artist" era were just
