Yes, it does suck. Now try imagine being a fat gay dude that doesn't appear outwardly gay. Now I'm just a fat creepy straight guy as far as everyone's concerned, until I explicitly tell people "I'm gay," and even then, people rarely believe me when I first tell them. It's awesome!

Yeah, that's part of the problem. We're all expected just to pair up with each other, and leave all the Beautiful Athletic People to one another.  I'm probably bitter though (you can be young and bitter!).
