I agree with all of those! I knew I'd missed some.

I can see why, but it still rules.
Jacked Up is my favorite track, I think.
But not being an example of what people generally refer to as "EDM." It's all very pointlessly complex
Agreed that Away is great, but goddamn I couldn't disagree more about Automatic and Monster. They're my two favorites! Monster is ugly and gaudy and mean but that's part of what makes it great, and all the songs you mentioned hating on Automatic I love to bits.
It's a dumb label for sure.
All of the songs on the album are great instrumentally - "Shiny Happy People" is, from a musical perspective, gorgeous - but it and "Radio Song" are killed by the lyrics for me.
Sexx Laws, Debra, and Mixed Bizness are all 10/10 top-tier Beck, though.
From what I understand, he stopped hating it shortly before the writing of EWBAITE, which explains why that album and the one after it are so much better than anything else post-Pinkerton.

Oh hell yes, I love "Me in Honey" so much. If not for "Find the River" that would be my pick for their best closer.
Out of Time has some of the best (Me in Honey, Losing My Religion, Low, Country Feedback) and worst (Radio Song) of their career. It's a mixed bag.
The current style of EDM is very different from the older one, though. It's like how dubstep went from Burial to Bassnectar.
I tried to cut it down to a single disc once and couldn't. Too many amazing songs lost.
The only album of theirs I've heard is Away, and I like it a lot.
Yeah, I've thought about it, and I feel bad for him.
The only Barenaked Ladies album I own is their greatest-hits compilation, and it works very well as an album in itself, so I've never ventured further.
"People as Places as People" is a wonderful song that doesn't get enough attention.
The Information had some really great songs on it but it was way too long and had too much filler. I'll have to revisit Morning Phase sometime, I don't remember much about it except for liking the singles.
He was raised in the church without any say in the matter. If he leaves he'll never get to speak to his family again. I don't resent him for staying.
