When I saw this advertised on Netflix I thought it was a tv show and was intrigued by a show with such a bizarre premise and the apparent intention to maintain that status quo forever. But it's such a stupid idea for a movie.

it's a really weird season. Never was going to be super mainstream. I think Lynch is going for long-term appeal and something that will last, rather than trying to be an immediate cultural phenomenon.
