I imagine Dorian has extensive experience in removing icky stains from clothes, furnishings and floors.

Whoever apparently waxes it on the regular.

It was great that Proteus and the Late Murrays got to pop back for a while, their actors deserved a decent sendoff. Fantastic makeup work too.

Every time I see the snails appear I can't help but think of the finale of The Black Adder. I can almost imagine Hannibal consigning Will to a snailly fate - "Twenty years in Florence teaches a man to hate!"

Hannibal has been magnificent this time round. I can't remember the last time a tv show made me feel so fucking scared.

You beat to me it! One particular reason I love to praise this show is its immersiveness. Every time I watch an ep it's like sinking into this opium-scented gothic fug, and I can smell and taste everything the characters do. It makes the horrors more visceral and the experience so much more memorable.

So it turns out yet another female historical personage was a sexy man-magnet hottie with impeccable hair. Who would have guessed!

One place is full of America-hating rice-eaters. The other place is Vietnam!

God I'm enjoying Inspector Rusk. All he needs is a tweed deerstalker and he'd be the very emblem of Victorian crime-fighting. There were a ton of rich lines tonight he had some corkers.

"Next week: Vanessa and her mini-me "Woody" escape the castle to begin a career together on the Blackpool music hall circuit!"

The verbosity of the script has been one of my favorite parts of this show from the start. It just takes such a pleasure in luscious, well-rounded lines.

Ethan certainly echoed my own sentiments there.

"Poke the monster with a stick! Tuppence a jab. Come on, queue up lads!"

"There will be UNHOLY SLAUGHTER!" Oh Sembene, you so metal.

Hopefully, as it's just a movie, we would have no need to resort to that drastic recasting!

It's a little trite, but I loved Mason's allusion to Satan (Job 1:7) with his reference to Hannibal's "going to and fro on the earth, and walking up and down on it".

Remus wonders how he keeps getting caught up in this shit. Remus thought it was bad in Louisiana but it just gets worse. Remus wishes he was back in Philly with his parrot.

Her set at Ronnie Scott's is one of my favorite live albums. She plays the crowd almost as much as her piano and seems so terrifyingly awesome.

Lexx redone as a movie with Karl Urban as Kai, Amber Heard as Zev, Bryan Cranston as Stan, and Alan Cummings as the voice of 7-90 with Christopher Lloyd as Mantrid. Directed by Cronenberg.

His cover of Knights In White Satin just makes me want to take to the dancefloor in a sharp white suit, brazen medallion burning like the sun against my exposed hairy chest.
