1.)Crap.
2.)Cool.

Songs About Fucking
by Big Black.

That clip was fucking terrible. Seriously.

"Come get some…" best delivered in a harsh whisper with that little flick of the fingers and flash of eyes.

You got a 2. A hirsute dwarf with spectacular facial hair leers at you. He's not wearing any pants. Test Your Luck.

Kenya had become independent the day before; Zanzibar a week later. Beatlemania was just about to launch in the U.S. The "Lakonia" burned and Cypriot violence was brewing up. And it was the month "Oh What A Night" would be set. Pretty eventful all round.

Carla would be a damn better guardian for those kids than either of their defective parental units.

Curse your lack of character!

If there's a Jack Bauer here, it's Joan.

I loved that cheery little sendoff of his - seeing his London bosses getting pissed off was sweet.

I don't see how they could possibly survive without Lois. Who will be the office idiot now?

Secret Warriors
Glad to see it here - it's been a fun read thusfar, one of the better parts of this "Dark Reign" thing. Also, it was very cool to learn that apparently HYDRA is headquartered here in NZ.

Rice worked some wicked magic on vampire culture. Lestat has his place in the undead lineup. And yeah, even at her deranged worst, Rice never screwed with the story as badly as some recent writers.

IMO that doco was actually freakier than the movie itself; they made a good mythology there.

"There's nothing funny about a clown in the moonlight"

I found "Happy Like Murderers", by Gordon Burns, - about Fred and Rosemary West - to be scarier than any horror book I'd read. Realizing that that shit actually goes on is horror itself.

Nuclear War Horror
Still pushes the buttons for this aging Cold War kid. Particularly the BBC's "Threads" TV series, and of course "The Day After".

@Holland Oates: me too.

Maybe he'll go all Kurtz and get out of Joanie's life forever. He's halfway psychotic already.
