I might have to disagree with the inclusion of some of the James Cameron cuts on this list if only for an entirely selfish reason. I do love the fact that unlike most science fiction most of the characters don't have encyclopedic knowledge of every aspect of their universe ( in fact some characters are downright ignorant) so they're free to fuck up on a truly massive scale. the temple of light and the megaship are excellent examples of this
