Speak for yourself - I loved Wonderful Christmastime and was glad they played it.  The Nirvanesque/Fauvana number was pretty weak and repetitive.

I always liked him in small doses.  I never got the Jiminy Glick show, but there are times when he is just blazingly brilliant.  Three Amigos, and more recently Damages.  I always thought he should do a one man Lenny Bruce show - like Hal Holbrook's Mark Twain.

Saturday Night Live has become America's TV show.  The fact that it is live, and the only game in town, makes it almost an obligation to acknowledge tragedies as well as news and political items.  I thought it was very sweet and sincere.  It wasn't necessary, but I can't find anything cynical in it.

I disagree.  I thought Weekend Update was a riot.  Especially the Bar Mitzvah boy.  The whole show was pretty good.  The only thing I thought was lame was the Nirvana Paul song.  I loved the Charlie Brown video.
