Read all of V.C. Andrews books shortly after I was through with Judy. Those are some messed up books. However, they are some strangely riveting, nonsensical, highly readable trash. Also still have my copies of those books!

I have to agree with you on this. Even when I was growing up, late 80s, early 90s, and had plenty of access to all manner of sex ed stuff, I still found this incredibly informative. And I remember being totally scandalized by the sex scenes, which had been handily highlighted in yellow in the copy I stole from my…

Is that really a YA book? Or did we just all read it when we were way too young and forever had our minds warped in regards to attics and siblings who seemed a little too close to each other?

Ah yes, the 'prom-posal'. Had never even heard of such a thing until I watched Laguna Beach and it now apparently it is a thing all the kids are doing. All I remember thinking while watching those episodes was 'thank god I'm not in high school anymore because no guy would ever have gone through that kind of trouble…

I remember seeing an interview with Lauren Conrad and she explained that there are actually parents with them in Cabo. They just neglected to include them in any of the filming. Still, they seemed to be doing whatever the hell they wanted regardless of the parental supervision.

I see Faygo everywhere here in Toronto. I also insist on calling people Juggalos and mocking them mercilessly if I see them drinking it. I can also find Jarritos pretty much everywhere, so Toronto must be some version of paradise, am I right?

I knew there was something I was forgetting - being stuck on a team with people you didn't like while all your friends were on the other, cooler team. And silent meals. Damn, those sucked.

Ugh, colour wars sucked. It was forced participation in sports I had no interest in playing. They made you cheer and scream because 'team spirit' was what supposedly got teams the most points, but it really seemed that the points were given out arbitrarily, and you never had a t-shirt in the colour for your team. …

There is no mention made of either Joe Mangiello or his magnificent body rolls. Clearly, the entire point of the movie was missed.

Exactly what I thought! I had a moment where I was pretty sure Peggy was about to plunge to her death…
