Saw this over the weekend. Well, most of it. Cross manages to somehow alienate people who agree with him. Forget his delivery…half the time he gets so wrapped up in his outrage that he forgets to bring a punchline. Or he just blames his audience so much for whatever is pissing him off that he doesn't feel like

It's probably beyond the scope of this show, but I've long thought that there were a constructed species who perhaps outlived their creators. Either that, or they were once a more organic species that modified themselves heavily until they became what they are now. Actually, there isn't a lot of distinction between

Wow, Steven Universe is really starting to deliver after having built so much groundwork. I believe that the up-till-now dramatic peak of the series was Jasper's original invasion; since then, the stakes and intensity have backed off quite a bit. In the interim, and I'm not complaining, I feel like there has been a

Good Job, Sean!

I didn't know any of that. It would be a real shame if it gets cancelled. I followed Preacher's first season, and I think that this was the better show.

There's no doubt that there is some greater scheme driving these entities, which some of them have described as "The Merge." What remains to be seen is whether this is something from the Book of Revelations, or something altogether different. I have a feeling that we're going to find out very soon.

At this point, I'm just hoping that Amber can be saved.

I should have added a disclaimer to my warning about sandbox campaigns - I've never tried it myself. Like I said, even with all the tables and support, I am intimidated. I will say that even if Crawford makes it easy, if nothing else, it probably takes a certain confidence in your GMing skills to go for it.

It's possible that Allison really is broken, despite the exorcism. The show gives me the impression that the possessing entity doesn't displace the original soul so much as merge with it. The process seems to have a lot of variation from host to host, depending on how accepting they are of their new "roommates."

I won't argue. It's a terrible trope, and I don't even really know where it started (probably Warcraft now that I think about it). There are a lot of horrible tropes in fantasy RPGs. Frankly, I don't even like the idea of things like elves and dwarfs being common everyday dudes you can meet on the street, much less

Oops I missed this. I'm a huge fan of SWON and basically everything that Kevin Crawford makes at Sine Nomine. Yuge. Still, even though the rules system is very very simple, I would caution a novice player that this can be deceptive. Sine Nomine is all about sandbox games, and it is my personal opinion that that

I found the specific amount of time mentioned - 5300 years - to be interesting in its specificity. After checking out what was happening around 3300 BC, it looks like that was when the first signs of writing systems appeared. I've long wondered what impact gem civilization must have had on human civilization, other

Ah, there he is.

All the Lonely Blade stuff, including the name of the game itself, was hilarious. "My blade is the loneliest, after all!" Outgoing Fist!

I came back to D&D recently after a couple decades of hiatus. I think that 5th edition is the best in a long time, if not the best D&D edition, ever. Respect.

I recently started watching the youtube series Critical Role, and that's a bunch of people playing 5ed D&D who happen to all be voice actors. The DM has a great Scottish accent for stereotypical dwarves.

Where's the one with the dog playing piano?

*swoons*

I'll take any nado over a Trumpnado.

Funny, I had just been thinking "I feel like we're going to see Stevonnie kick some ass, real soon." I actually expected this to happen next week, towards the end of the nuke, and for it to be a bigger deal. I suppose that means there is something even bigger planned. They've added two more Crystal Gems lately with
