So on Monday I have a paper on English history due for my high school class. Back in October we chose our topics, and since I didn't know anything about English history I decided to choose a topic which would at least make me laugh: a comparison of Lord Palmerston and Pitt the Elder. I swear to god.

Can I say the same thing about Beautiful Day? The production on that track is enough for me to love it even if the message is trite… 10-year-old me loved that song more than any other U2 song (his other two favourites were "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "New Years Day" so well done 10-year-old me).

So I did my school drama audition today, to two clearly gay theatre directors I had never met and my music teacher from elementary school who was the music director last year. I sang "On the Rise" from Dr. Horrible and held that one super-long note full length, which I was happy about.

I think he is capable of selflessness with a selfish underline though. He doesn not strike me as the type who'd be content to wait for death alone. He'd want to either die with his family or with a blaze of glory.
