I've read them all. They are fun, if a little over simple in some areas. One thing I love about The Promise is how Aang deals with the cultural appropriation of the proto-acolytes; it's just surprisingly well done for such a small subplot.

Who wouldn't be turned on by Korra tying you up and picking you up with one arm? Especially if she's throwing in some avatar state action into the mix as well.
In terms of attractiveness, what about those poor guards who were asploded by Kuvira? They were mega-hotties.
My head exploded along with P'Li's when that happened. That and her makeshift armor creation last week means that Suyin has two of my top ever Avatar "Oh shit" moments.
I was both psyched by the visual and a bit weary of the Iron Tyrant until I saw how Kuvira was controlling it personally through metalbending. That shut all my concerns right up.
I was actually shocked. I really thought it would have been on the top ten list (though Antonioo makes a great point about how few writers here actually watch it) because besides the Americans, I don't think I'd rank anything from this year above Book 3 of Korra (maybe VEEP would be tied with Korra). To be fair, I…
Plus, Wing and Wei can't just let Opal be the cool one. They are such small additions to LoK overall, but they are pretty well realized teenaged boys for their limited screen time. You can totally see why Suyin would bring them with her to take out Kuvira initially, despite that not being a mission many parents would…
Middleaged women getting shit done. She's like Avatar's Ripley. I want to be her when I grow up.
Spike Lee presents Do the (Right) Thing
Toph line is totally on the nose, but in a way, isn't grandparently advice generally on the nose in a similar way? It's both a little lazy in terms of writing, but fits the character and where they are in life well too. It can be read either way.
It actually hurt my brain processing that what Wu said was actually a good idea.
Suyin and Kuvira's fight was the best thing I've seen on TV in a long time. It's also the only time I've ever literally jumped up out of my seat in excitement.
Yeah, like the person with the $174 lighter is going to tell where the lighter fluid comes from to the guy who doesn't make that in four months! Come on!
This is too much of a tangent
Bimbo?
I'm so excited. I haven't been able to get my game on since whenever Assassin's Creed IV - Black Flag came out, so to have this just in time for some terrible weather this weekend is a delight.
Oh, I've been wondering if the heroes truly needed different strategies, so that's great. I'm much more interested in exploring this game now.
Dammit. So I really need to get this? Stop making me want to spend money, guys.
God, the Water Temple was such a bear to get through when I first played Ocarina of Time (which was over a decade ago? Jesus…), but the feeling of accomplishment when I finally did was immensely satisfying in a way that beating the game didn't even provide.
I just got a Wii U, so I'll be exploring the (cat themed?) Super Mario 3D World as well as Smash Bros and Donkey Kong Land. Hopefully around Christmas I'll get my hands on the HD remake of Windwaker and maybe Hyrule Warriors.
