I hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but… Bruce Lee is dead.

She is, and we are! Thank you.

I actually might be the only human being who enjoyed The Happening.

Jesus.

I actually somewhat disagree. Killing people is terrible. But you're only stealing, tops, 80 or 90 years from them. Destroying the temple at Palmyra destroyed potentially thousands of years of study and enjoyment from potentially hundreds of millions of people (assuming that the same level of tourism had continued for

She is half-Irish and half-African American.

Girlfriend met my family this weekend and my mom was actually cordial to her! Rather than, like, hurling racial slurs and feces at her the way I was sort of afraid she would.

Hey, at least the Pokemon Shooters got stopped, so that's something.

I'm ok; specifically starting this thread in response to the Virginia reporters' shooting and the fact that I probably shouldn't have watched the video that the gunman took of him standing right next to them pointing his gun at them while waiting for the interview to go live before he started shooting.

I watched the video that the shooter himself took of the shooting (before Youtube took it down). He stood there pointing his gun at them for 25 seconds before he started firing. Wanted to make sure that the feed was live when he killed them. Fucked up.

REALLY DEPRESSINGLY SAD SHIT THREAD

If you were going to file a lawsuit against Banksy… like, how would you serve him with it? Do you know his home address?

That has nothing to do with whether those professors should change their teaching — or the course of their discussion — to avoid upsetting their students. Teaching a group

I agree that there is a huge difference between somebody who is prudish or a bigot on the one hand, and somebody who was sexually abused as a child on the other. I just don't really see why either person should be sheltered from experiencing some particular form of media as a result of anything. Talking about child

Very good point, but sort of makes me look like a tool for still wearing Cornell t-shirts even though I graduated from there at the end of the Clinton administration.

For you, I would do it for free.

Um… yeah, I went to one of the shittier Ivy League schools, and know literally not a single person who ever went to Notre Dame, but I always rooted for Notre Dame football because I was Irish Catholic and that's what you did. In, you know, New York City.

I have never once yet in my life met an even remotely tolerable person who went to Princeton.

I used to go to Belmont, but then I kept losing all the rent money.
