I thought the casting for that was spot on, particularly for Jo and Amy.

People on the internet lost their minds at the idea of a black "Annie," so I don't hold out much hope for humanity. Or a movie like that.

I have always hated Little Women, and what's more I have hated that I'm supposed to like it. I could never get past the part where the girls decide to put on a play of "Pilgrim's Progress," which no little girl can ever relate to as a source of fun.
And then of course, Jo March ends up marrying some surrogate weird

I think the more appropriate 2013 reaction to that situation would be "the parents of those two boys sue for discrimination and a general culture of misandry for not letting the boys attend a school where at least two girls get into Harvard a year."
