At least we've got Thanksgiving to (mostly) buffer the spread of Christmas. The only place it has to go is toward January, and I can't really see that happening. I mean, come December 25th, you already shot your Christmas-wad and it's about gifts, not gratitude. No one wants to sing carols while writing their bitch

The one Star Trek episode I've seen is "Measure of A Man" which I watched in a piss-poor philosophy class. Is this a common experience? Given mine, I don't think it should be.

I'm not sure I understand the hype for the new Star Trek. It's going to be an action movie, and everyone is good looking? Thrilling.
