"America Drinks and Goes Home" seems appropriate.

Coincidentally (I think?), the 49ers start their season on Monday night, which will be September 12. The commentator's (curious who?) point is moot.
I kinda revere them both, but will say this - I've seen both performers doing Zappa material in recent years (Ed Palermo Big Band, Project/Object), and NMB deserves the higher accolades. They're both up there in years, but Nap still gives it his all, singing, dancing, and still sounds great, if not the same. Ike is…
To that I would add the Puppet Master series (or any Charles Band/Full Moon franchise).
Loved this article. Almost redeems that awful Kerry King feature.
Agree with everything you said. No disrespect to Kerry King, nor
Slayer… but this kind of sucked. Past AV Club 24 hour horror film
marathon/interviews featured Edgar Wright, Joe Dante, and Eli Roth.
Hostel 2 and DotD remakes are bad enough, albeit not without enough
apologists to make them borderline suggestible.…
Nice to see horror flick, even if it is a remake (albeit less egregious when it Americanizes foreign horror), get the highest movie grade this week.
"Dad?"
If your expectations are modest it's a pleasant surprise. Chronicles was crap through and through.
Two guilty pleasures & one knowledge fulfillment. I'd listen to every Frank Zappa album in chronological order, watch the entire Battlestar Galactica miniseries (the non-70s one, including webisodes and one-off side movies), and watch the entire Akira Kurosawa film collection.

Do you play football or soccer? I might interest you in some Cleats by Dre.

Psycho was to slasher movies what Night of the Living Dead was to zombie movies.
In which Brian Dennehy takes over for the character originally played by Kirk Douglas? Co-signed.
True, but so many King adaptations are awful, it's really a crapshoot anyway. For every Shining or Shawshank, there's a Sleepwalkers or Mangler. Has there been a good King miniseries? It was okay, but that's being generous.
Was thinking the same thing - less a ghostwriting scenario than taking on a co-author credit.
Funny how they both try to paint the other as the jerk… well, they're BOTH jerks!
Anyone else affected by the Time Warner - CBS dispute? (Arguing over [duh] money, so TW, pulled the network.) I was on the fence about whether to keep watching this show, and they effectively made that decision for me. Alas, I don't miss it. Shame, because I enjoyed the novel.
