I have a tricky relationship with GBV. Great songwriting, typically very much a BS-free band to listen to. But I also don't care much for the lo-fi aesthetic, which naturally makes a lot of GBV records tough for me to listen to. As a result, I like Isolation Drills a hell of lot more than the other records of

Just try to imagine him saying all of these things through his speech impediment.

I know it's sentimental sappiness, but I actually really like "Skyway".

I don't care what anyone says, that interview with Justice Breyer was FANTASTIC. Sure, it was a little dry, but the way Breyer answered those questions, and the things he had to say are unlike anything else any other talk show would dare to do. I loved it.

That Star Wars rant of his was almost like he was back in the Colbert Report character, wasn't it?

Edmonton, Saskatchewan?

A lot of Hate Song articles are full of petty reasoning and hyperbole, and they drive me nuts. This one, though? This is why I keep coming back to this column to read new ones. He just hits the nail on the head for why this song is so absolutely awful.

Well hopefully this is enough to still allow him to forge a new collaboration with Guest and McKean. I don't care if they re-hash Spinal Tap or The Folksmen, I just want to see them play music together again.

Whatever, I enjoy the show. Even when the comedians suck and just make cheap jokes that sound like Chelsea Handler CELEBRITY DIG throwaways.

Would a wig really be that much of a pain for his character? That's what I don't get.

It's one of those rare moments where no matter how much you know about it, no matter how ubiquitous and referenced it is, no matter how many times you yourself have seen it, it still hits you as hard as it ever did each time you see it.

@avclub-0b52f623aceb9a0733d0edbffb4e25b5:disqus mentioned this in reply further down, but evidently Benjamin was in the original as the can of vegetables that can suck it's own dick.

The LOTR/Harry Potter ones go along with a thought I've long had with Game of Thrones: What if you could re-adapt them in a setting where you are in a slightly different medium?

I would understand.

"If you label me, you negate me." -This guy. Or was it Kierkegaard?

One of the related videos for the 30 Rock clip is the product placement scene in Wayne's World. Even if I haven't seen a Nuprin commercial in over 20 years, that scene still holds up as being pretty damn funny. Especially the cuts back to Rob Lowe.

"The Stones’ Sticky Fingers invented Southern rock"

I'm pretty sure that not only is this not new, but the first time I saw it was in a newswire post here.

I guess I don't trust cloud storage enough. I keep feeling like having all of my stuff in the cloud is just a recipe for me to eventually have to pay a monthly fee just to access stuff I already own. It's fine for now that so many of the cloud storage options are free, but how long is that going to last?
