You mean The Kinky Wizards?
You mean The Kinky Wizards?
My favorite of theirs as well.
By "Where Has My Baby Gone", do you mean "Last Kiss", the cover of a 1950s ballad that Pearl Jam released as a single a long time ago?
I like this take on the word "broad".
One of those celebrities, like Abe Vigoda, where you were convinced that they couldn't die. Her refusal to die become a running joke on a message board that I frequent (I want to say she was given last rites over a decade ago).
Which reminds me, you don't want to know how the special sauce is made.
I always wanted to see an episode of Iron Chef where they used incredibly low-brow secret ingredients, but with all the seriousness and sincerity of a regular episode.
Hard to see Deathly Hallows 2 ranked so low, but there's only so much weight you can give to the Snape Memories scene (which IMO is easily the emotional high point of the entire series).
Whether you vote third party or lesser-evil, it's still better than not voting at all.
"Oh… you mean Carry That Weight, right? The song with a different title?" -Pedantic asshole
It's not even small-town wholesomeness. Listening to a Cardinals fan get worked up over some unwritten rule of baseball is a lot like listening to a politician complain about his opponent being kind of scummy.
They're not even the worst fans in their sport (see: Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals fans).
On one hand, I'll be politely happy for long-suffering Cubs fans if they win tonight.
I'd like to know more about this Franken beef.
Approximately 10% of their catalog is outstanding. The rest is a blend of dull, mediocre or otherwise unremarkable.
Yes. This. What you said.
Listen, if this is basically a book-length version of The Moth Joke (or his Andy Richter, The Swedish German joke, or his Jacques de Gattineau joke, etc.), then he can just shut up and take my money.
This is part of what's great about music as a medium… it's primary source of impact is usually on an emotional level, so there's no shortage of good songs that would fit the bill…
Yeah, but even in that case, the arrangement had a lot of country elements to it. It was certainly the closest I could think of past Midnight Rambler.
Oh without question it's a HUGE part of their music, but it's almost always mixed with something else, be it country, soul, various pop trends or (obviously) rock'n'roll.
