I learned who Guy Fawkes was thanks to that "Depth Takes a Holiday" episode. Much maligned or not, he'll always look like Sid Vicious to me.

Haha yeah. I'm only partway through it because it involves lots of greats and lots of baddies but yes, that is one of the prominent entries. I'm a sucker for a vibrant name on a boring movie.

Oh hey, I watched this for my 1972 Quest. What's amazing is that it's not even the most insane film he made THAT YEAR. "Angels' Wild Women" is so gobsmackingly manic that it's almost vibrant surrealism.

Wow, Joan Rivers was cute as all get-out (happenin' slang!) in 1965.

When I was 12 my aunt high-fived me for knowing so much of the dialogue to "Eddie Murphy: Delirious", haha.

I've come to be wary of anything you write thanks to the vitriolic stew that is the SOUTH PARK classic reviews, but "He does a little flirting with Neve Campbell, playing a reporter whose “modern woman” outfit and hairdo make her look like Fran Lebowitz impersonating Oscar Wilde." was deserving of some sort of plaudit

I actually have a PS2 now I got from a friend, but I guess I did mean it in a sort of lost-childhood thing, I missed out on so much video game culture in the ensuing decade, and I can never really get up the gumption now to dive back in.

I guess mine would be similar to a few of the video game entries, although not in the most symbolic sense of rebellious adolescence. I was just a huge gamer kid and I was smack dab in the middle of GRAND THEFT AUTO: VICE CITY when some drugged-out friends of mine broke into my house, stole my PS2, all my games, a few

Also I like that he liked the second episode, so he had to work in some righteous offense by mentioning an entirely different episode and spending an entire paragraph condemning it.

Well, um…at least it's FULL-assed instead of half-assed this time.

I love the magical horrible modern SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS that is "cynical marketing genius of sludgy children's programming sees Madea movie and figures out his purpose in life".

I will say the latter review of this week's duo pointed to a more genial middle ground that I hope he continues to mine for subsequent reviews. The former review is right in line with his previous issues, though.
