I will say the latter review of this week's duo pointed to a more genial middle ground that I hope he continues to mine for subsequent reviews. The former review is right in line with his previous issues, though.

See, but nobody really wants to read reviews of random people in the comments, we just want to read a good review where the reviews go by the people paid to make reviews!

This whole situation is an odd case where I can barely stomach the actual reviews but the comments are always so lively even though they're always the same.

This made me legitimately laugh out loud.

I haven't seen this and have zero familiarity with opera, but your reviews I tend to disagree with on a fundamental level, less that our opinions diverge and more like we see entirely different things, so I'm inclined to probably believe this is better than  you say just our my past history with your writing.

It took me literally more than nine months to get through all of BREAKING BAD specifically because the deliberate pacing made the prospect of marathoning seem WILDLY unappealing, even as I loved the show piece by piece. Having to structure it as something to endure, to COMPLETE, made it seem like a chore, and I

I seriously can't even bother reading these anymore, because I know they're just going to piss me off, I just skip to the comments to see that everybody has the same opinions that I had of the first handful of entries that I read of how this reviewer is such an ill fit for the show he's been assigned and how much of a

One of my favorite things is how the movie spends the first 10-15 minutes trying to sell "New Orleans is a wonderful place filled with warm humanity unlike any other place in America" and "New Orleans is a terrifying lawless hellscape unlike any other place in America"
simultaneously, and then immediately discards

I was joking throughout watching it that Guy Pearce was secretly in the pocket of Big Candy and it was all just a roundabout trick to get people to buy more from vending machines and 7-11s. The climax can almost be explained as Nic Cage being a normal guy just fucking with him for a while before abruptly just arriving.

Having seen the movie, it actually IS set during Mardi Gras, but they only make one token reference to it early on, which surprised me.
