There's apparently some incredible long, convoluted explanation of this line in order to make it make sense, rather than just saying, "Whatever. The line's a little fucked up."

Too close! How about a nice Italian?

Hyperbole might be impossible when trying to capture Sparks' awfulness.

In the audio commentary, they talk about those characters - apparently they just went out and looked at the line of hopeful extras and riffed on people. That makes me much happier than it being scripted and a casting call being put out for "Punk Rock Steven Seagal".

Jump my street, please!

Track 1: "God, what a song. So beautiful"
Track 2: "Huh, what an interesting variation!"
Track 3: "Yep. Stairway…"
Tracks 4-12: "I hate this fucking song."

And somewhere in L.A., John Doe sighed, shook his head, and went back to creating amazing music.

At first skim of the headline, my thought was, "Who did he play on X-Files?"

It's a mistake to hope.

Depends - can this pill-popping jerk have me symptom-free and cured of anything within an hour or so of diagnosing it? Even things that would normally take months of medication?

Perhaps off topic a bit, but I would not be excited that my surgeon "plays by her own rules."

*Finds cigarillo nub in camp fire, sees that it's still smoldering, realizes I'm close. Very close.*

True - I probably should asked "did he *claim* to have a reason…"

I can't bear to watch the video - did he have a reason to be at the airport? Or did he just go there to walk around with a gun?

As a teacher, I would support allowing - nay, requiring - teachers to carry lightsabers.

Probably not real hyped at the idea of explaining that they didn't do anything about the man in the costume who shot up a school on the grounds that they figured the gun was "you know, probably fake".

What we need are more good dogs with guns. Who's a good dog with a gun? Who's a good dog with a gun? Yes, you are! Yes, you **BLAM** Oh, God, my leg! Aaahhhh!!!

That's why I prefer the vintage semi-colon; question marks are too modern; too mainstream, you know; But before they were question marks, they were semi-colons. Yeah…. ;

First time I saw Ace In The Hole was one of those transformative movie experiences. If for no other reason, it was a moment of "Oh, wait, you mean we didn't invent cynicism in 1993?"

It's the same way with Howard Hawks - wait, the guy who made Rio Bravo also made The Big Sleep? And also made Bringing Up Baby? And also made Scarface? And also made The Thing?
