I agree, but for some reason I'll still watch The Wedding Singer when it comes on late at night.

Really?  I guess you know something I don't.  If you're right then Soderbergh should sue whoever put that trailer together.

That certainly explains some of his more recent performances.

To be fair, the enchanted castle system is very much like Nazi Germany.

Never seen him in anything before.  Is he always like that?  Is his face paralyzed or something?  Did they cast other face-paralyzed actors to make sure he didn't feel bad?

Depp's whole performance in that film was embarrassing.  I'd be interested to know how much of it was his own take on the character and how much was Burton's idea, but either way there's no excuse.  And you're right, the Futterwacken is the most depressing spectacle I've seen on screen in quite some time.

Yeah, that magic mirror is smoking mirror crack if it thinks Stewart is fairer than Theron.  Unless hollywood thinks "fairer" just means "younger".

I admit I watched the "Magic Mike" trailer hoping to see some hot guys (conclusion: it was not worth it), but holy crap the dialogue is so bad I almost wondered if it was supposed to be a parody of some kind.  I think they were trying for "candid and unrehearsed", but it sounds like non-actors improvising lines while

Yikes.  Mine just has a bunch of people and animals brutally murdering each other around a fire in some kind of orange mythological hellscape.  Nothing scary there!

I agree.  All the scary/horror parts are done MUCH better in the books.  I think that movies often don't take enough time to really build suspense the way books do.  Shelob, the dead marshes, the ghost army - all much scarier and more exciting in the books.  I do think the movie did a good job of making Moria really

Everytime I think about the dance number I can't believe I didn't dream it.  How the hell did that survive the cutting room?

I like the barrow wights part - I know it doesn't tie into the rest of the story very well, but it's super creepy and cool.

The Last Battle kind of ruins the Narnia series for me.  I don't mind the Christian allegory stuff for most of the other books - I'm an atheist, but the lessons C.S. Lewis focused on were pretty universal: love, loyalty, self-sacrifice, forgiveness etc.  But then in the final book it gets really judgy and almost

I was introduced to BSG by a friend of mine who brought over the DVDs and played them for my roomate and me.  When we got the "Black Market" he almost skipped it altogether, because he was worried it would turn us off of the show and we wouldn't want to watch it anymore. I'm glad he warned us that it was the worst

Cars is so boring.  If it hadn't looked so nice I would never have believed it was a pixar movie.

Sigh.  For a long time I defended that episode, and the whole magic tattoo subplot, thinking it would all tie in at the end and be worth it….  I'll just show myself out.

Yeah, I don't think it's that bad either.  Certainly the worst of the 3 by FAR, but interesting enough on it's own merits.  I think Andy Garcia is pretty good in it -his character isn't all that complex or anything, but it's a good performance.

I feel sorry for her though - she was pretty young when it was shot, and in interviews she says it wasn't her idea to be in it and she was really nervous about the whole thing.  She's a good director, so I'm gonna cut her some slack - I did way more embarrasing things at that age, but thankfully I wasn't famous, so

I don't hate him as much as some people do, but even I'll admit he doesn't really fit in with the rest of the book.  He also spends a lot of time singing about the colors of his clothes, which is pretty unacceptable behavior in my opinion.

I wish they'd put up a clip from Oklahoma, because it's really just so incredibly weird.  I watched a lot of the classic musicals around the same time, and that one really disturbed me. The dream sequence ballet in the middle is particularly creepy, and it goes on for like 15 minutes - I remember thinking "Geez, what
