Union Street!?
What's the matter with you AV Club, no love for the folks who live above 9th St in Park Slope? Fine, I guess I'll take the very convenient 5 minute bus ride door-to-door, but I'll sullenly update my Twitter-feed via my Droid on the way.

It is Mr. Sutherland, but it's from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

And the Best Supporting Actor Oscar goes to… an old eagle's nest as "Nic Cage's Hair" in Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans

Congratulations Wicker Man
You are no longer the most batshit insane movie Nicolas Cage has ever starred in.

A Wise Man Once Said
"Live the journey, for every destination is but a doorway to another." That wise man? Man-At-Arms from the movie Masters of The Universe.

Maybe now…
with this role, his career can be finally put out of its misery, in the most dignified and peaceful manner possible.

Seconded. I think I bought it after Chuck Pahlaniuk recommended it in some article, but have never bothered cracking it open. Also in the CP recommended, but never read category: "The Contortionist's Handbook" by Craig Clevenger.

The Ultimate Tragedy
This band keeps grinding it out year after year with nominal success and little press, yet a douchenozzle like Billy Bob Thornton can trade on his acting success to release janky watered down country on major label, while garnering press for simply acting like a dick.

Let me get this out of the way…
"What no mention of Vic Tayback?"

Kings = McShaneized soap opera

I concur. Very Stan Sitwell-esque.

He's more like the Jay Leno of Rap, as they both they make their money with jokes so obvious they wouldn't be reprinted on Bazooka Gum wrappers.*

Sorry, thechumpion. We can award you no points for the failed firstie. Thanks for playing. We have some wonderful parting gifts for you, including a year's supply of Rice-A-Roni — "The San Francisco Treat" — as well as a copy of The AV Club Commenting home game.

I love Radiohead, but…
… Thom Yorke's eye has always made me feel uncomfortable.

"[I]t was nominated for four Genies"
Winning Canada's version of the Academy awards is like being the valedictorian of summer school.

Nowhere on your ticket does it say you can spend the night here.

I've just been handed a bulletin. The coat check costs "$2", not "$@" as previously reported.

The coat check only cost $@, but if you want to check in your top hats, monocles and white theater gloves, the price becomes alarmingly higher.

After reading this thread, The Ghost of Christmas Present wept silently into his cornucopia.
