I think it's worth reiterating that Cochran isn't targeted. He's more safe than any other contestant out there. I really can't see him getting voted out before the top five, let alone final three.

Also, if there's another Hidden Immunity Idol, who doesn't think Malcolm or Reynold won't find it first? I know there are a lot of double negatives there; basically I think they'll find it.
The best possible play was for him to keep his other hidden immunity idol secret and then play it after the vote, give it to Eddie, and watch the last minute voting when it's too late for anything. I think the end result is better: Phillip is dones-o.
cochran is safe. nobody is even considering him. he could actually win, which is fucking amazing.
it's tough to admit, but phillip was pretty much in control of the tribe. with him gone, it's hard to predict what will happen next.
I actually feel bad for Michael. He's stuck at Ponderosa with Phillip for a few days. Oof.
I think it's pretty clear that Cochran is loved by both the editors and Probst now.
Well, Mr. Awesome clearly learned that Malcolm had two idols to play, and he was pretty happy about the situation. I have to invoke Louis CK here in saying that he's like a dog who only experiences life in two seconds: the second that is happening now and the second that just happened.
@FuriousGiorge:disqus I listened to the Klosterman interview and I don't remember that point, but I might have zoned out when it came up (as I usually do while listening to podcasts).
We've hit Peak Tribal. It's all downhill from here.
It wasn't perfect, but I think we should remember that Tribal Council actually goes on for hours and we just get an edit of about 5-10 minutes. Malcolm probably should have named somebody else, but Erik went with his vote, and now Phillip is gone.
I really, seriously don't understand why he was a candidate for "Survivor Player of the Week". He didn't win in the reward challenge and he blew it in the Immunity. Is it just because he was given a HII? If so… well, I didn't ever notice CBS telegraphing results in "Player of the Week" until now.
I don't even know where to start with this episode so I'll just go with one thing. Reynold could have been upset with Malcolm for wasting his idol last tribal, but since it was put back in play and found again by one of the "3 Amibros", their alliance core stayed as strong as… ok actually I don't want to finish that…
At first I thought Littlefinger had them give the coin back as a gift while he was seeking intel. But I don't really think Littlefinger would make such an obvious play, so maybe it was just a throw-away scene for comic relief.
They disarmed him.
I don't know, man. Reynold wants him to "bro-down". How can you resist an offer like that??
Has that immunity challenge been used before? Because it seemed a bit excessively on the… uh, torture-y side.
I think I must have just completely missed the scene. My bad.
I already admitted that I was wrong. "What the fuck" else do you want?
OK, fine, I've had a long night. Your interpretation was better than mine.
