Indeed it was. And it kinda sucked, too - I didn't so much as crack a smile in the first ten minutes, so I gave up on it. It was a nice idea for a show, and good on Spike for giving some UCB guys a chance to make a show like this, but wow did it not work.

Anyone following him on Twitter would have gotten bored of him complaining about "haters" every 5 seconds. He needs to worry less what anonymous assholes like us on the internet say, and more about the fact he's great at his job most of the time.

She's a devious murdering bitch, is what she is.

A minus? It takes all sorts, I suppose, but there were nowhere near enough laughs in this episode to get it to there.

There were nowhere near enough laughs for me, and while some bits were good and some bits were excellent, there were too many bits which sucked.

I think Carr is fairly awful. Like Ricky Gervais without any of the humanity, if such a thing be possible. There are many funnier people at the moment in the UK.

Funniest radio comedy ever. I love it.

Not sure how well this'll go down, but their shtick can get a bit tired. Wurster starts off with a good character, Scharpling plays along, then every few minutes Wurster introduces some tangent and Scharpling tries to go along with it. It can be great, but it doesn't work all that often.

Any one of about 5 Daniel Kitson bootlegs would be right at the top of my list.

Stewart Lee is indeed awesome. I could watch 90s Comedian over and over.

Yawn @ standard Hicks insult.

I fully intended on reading and taking part in the Master and Commander discussion, but I was a bit slower than I expected through the first half of "The Brothers Karamazov" so didn't quite make it in time. I'm still going to give it a go though, then back on track for this month's selection.

I guess John Oliver is a busy man, because there's no way he wouldn't want more in on a show like this - he's tons funnier than Jeong and despite the pilot and references to him being Jeff's drinking buddy, he's woefully underused.

Aye, it was a decent film. Could have done witha bit of trimming, but other than that it's well worth tracking down.

Black's way better than Showalter. Plus ca difference, eh?

I blame the people who described the Motel films as "torture porn". Seems to have started there-ish and has now laid its cold unfeeling hand across too much review journalism (including a little of this site).

Holy Hand Grenade, it's clearly one of several places it's been upped (as well as at Funny or Die) so it no doubt got many more than 16000 views.

Was and is, Mr. Devil. Not that I watch Desperate Housewives. Honest.

I've just discovered the original British TV talk / music video show, and am downloading it. It was around when I was a kid, but I guess my parents thought I was too young to watch it (or thought it was a load of shite).

MTM, that's why I'm not sure anyone who greenlighted this movie has seen any combat sports in the last 20 years. UFC showed time was up for karate as far back as 1993, and what with its gigantic PPV buyrates (bigger than all but the very biggest boxing ones) you'd think people would have twigged that karate isn't the
