I agree. His mugging used to be much more sporadic, and when he did it it was endearing. He seems to jump on his desk or dance around three or four times an episode now .

I think part of Colbert and Daily Show's success is that each of them only have to prepare a half-hour show. There's not much 'dead' or idle time on their shows.
