Historically that's what crests on helmets and coats of arms on shields were for, but mass audiences don't like having to keep multiple things straight.

Don't worry, the bots will be taking over other human jobs in the fast food industry soon.

I remember when I needed 40 minutes.

Well, the M4 was apparently constructed in the early 1960s, while Burton was an established Shakespearean actor in the '50s, and Bonnie's breakout hit was "It's a Heartache" in 1978. So I think he was technically correct.

Now I'm going to have to search for that on YouTube. Any clues?

Was "Can You Read My Mind?" ever recorded as a song? As I recall, Margot Kidder was incapable of carrying a tune, and talked through the song in the film, and John Williams was kind of disappointed that that the song was never recorded or marketed.

Why are they desecrating the most mediocre and unmemorable parts of my youth?!

I'll take your word on Florida, but I thing about the Skyline Drive is that it more-or-less follows the spine of a mountain ridge, which tends to concentrate the lightning close to you. Broad, flat vistas make for a lot of beautiful views of distant lightning, but would potentially be of less interest to

Virginia's Skyline Drive, weather permitting, is a good place to go if for some reason one is actively seeking a nearby lightning strike. I drove up it years ago during summer storm season, and witnessed multiple ground strikes within about 1,000' or less. I wouldn't recommend getting out of your car, but your taste

They weren't from eastern Kentucky by any chance, were they? ;)

While Nerdherder may have a point about the "Father Christmas" thing, I think it's more likely just emulating a practice of elderly couples in past generations to use those epithets for each other. The implication being that they'd had kids in the house for so long that when the nest was finally empty it felt wrong to

That's the line that really shifts the tone from New Age mystic to college freshman debauchery.

And I dearly hope he throws forks with deadly accuracy.

He's thinking less of a Yogic paradigm, and more of a cheesy '80s sci-fi rollerskating paradigm.

So, he might appreciate a little heart-ripping… if you're okay with that… but no pressure…

He might just be a Theosophist, which has some overlap with certain strains of Nazi occultism, but isn't synonymous

I wonder if that can be an inherent weakness of writer-director situations — assuming that the audience "gets" one's authorial intent, and thus falling short in the presentation of it.
