And they can't ever bring in three new specialists to go back to a time period where the mission went wrong and try again. That'd be too easy!

Can we get a Tucker Carlson/Bill O'Reilly feud going?

Stan and Jack never really did much with them being in school (with their one teacher, who for one creepy panel had the hots for the one female student.) They focused more on them being super heroes. They actually graduated from the school in issue #7! It took poor Peter Parker in public school until issue #28 of

"Hero High", the Saturday morning cartoon from 1981, may have been an inspiration too. The idea isn't groundbreaking but the execution can be strong (and using Valiant characters is probably fun for those who know them.) Not sure it has to be a ripoff for using a similar premise (one that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

There was some anti-Semitic stereotyping in some of the early cartoons and according to Disney biographer Neal Gabler (a great writer by the way), "He got the reputation because, in the 1940s, he got himself allied with a group called the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals, which was an

The Hebrew Hammer!

More like Saturday Night DEAD! Weekend Update? Fake news!

Is the extended version worth watching? I thought the regular length version had a few good moments and visuals but, wow, what a wasted opportunity to do something great.

Not to be confused with Smurfs, who are 3 apples high.

Definitely. The Source/Force, Apokolips/Death Star, Highfather/Obi Wan, Orion/Luke… there's a lot of New Gods stuff in Star Wars in addition to Darkseid/Vader, but the evil man in the mask look of Vader (plus the cape, take no shit attitude, and later scarred face) is very Doom.

According to the Orange Man, Syracuse is going to win the NCAA tournament. If they don't… FAKE NEWS!

Thanos was inspired by Darkseid (as likely to some degree was Darth Vader.) I find the Darkseid/New Gods mythology much richer than the Starlin space stuff even though Thanos himself may be a little more three dimensional.

Or Brol-in?
