I think that's his persona, and it can be unbearable at times, but The Office Christmas Special that served as the finale of the BBC series was full of heart.

If you're a comic book fan, his "Superman: American Alien: was really great. A real celebration of the character. I hope he has time to do a longer series at some point.

I hope you're right! (But the ratings are awful. Too bad as the show is the best it's ever been.)

Nerd trivia: The short-lived Inhumans comic (1975-1977) used the "Uncanny" adjective before the X-Men did.

If I'm reading the original article correctly, this is less a typical feature film and more limited IMAX screenings of the TV pilot before being shown on ABC. The bigger news being a Marvel's Inhumans TV series, and with it (I assume) the possible cancellation of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

Awesome recommendation! To the local comic shop I go!

"Someday there will be a book written about how the US music industry destroyed itself through sheer greed and shortsightedness."

Cynical take: This is one way to make sure your client's film gets the Oscar voters love.

Colbert had Trump on after he'd already called Mexican immigrants rapists. Colbert may not have played with his hair but he was not really critical either (and he helped normalize him by treating him like a normal guest.) It was earlier in the campaign, yes, but still a low point in his career in my eyes.

Yay! Two John Oliver stories in the newswire rather than six Trump ones.

I think you're right. I mean, it would've worked if not for the FBI and Russians working against her, but people cone out much more if they have a candidate to vote FOR not just one they have to vote AGAINST. I happily voted for Hillary, but for a lot of people she didn't capture their enthusiasm.

I think the Michael Che bit is a misguided attempt to be balanced. Even though the guy could destroy the republic. I don't get it.

If Mars is ruled by powerful evil murderous beings, shouldn't Superman have done something about it at some point?

I was waiting for us to get a glimpse into the fantasy world that Aida created for Agnes, and see that it's a nightmare (created out of jealousy on Aida's part to torment Agnes.) But I guess her body would react negatively in that case.

I like her as an artist but did find her commercial for Tiffany's to be off-putting. It IS pretentious to talk about how creative you are. And you don't call yourself a rebel unless you're in Star Wars.

i'm just glad it didn't cause you to have flashbacks of Gwen falling, Spidey.

At least Snagglepuss wasn't always chased by that guy who apparently was NOT Inspector Clouseau. Although I always though he was supposed to be.

On the west coast you can get The Walking Dead at 6pm. Yes, it's cable so they allow more violence. But still almost no cursing or nudity. So I think goes along with the original point.

And Richard Pryor!

The Dave Michelinie/Bob Layton run is a bit dated but still fun to read. (Issues #116-156). The issue before they start actually has John Romita Jr.'s Marvel premiere ("Mighty Marvel Marches On!") so that's fun too. And then he is on-board for a lot of the run.
